Katy Perry Undressed in the Land of Fantasy


Maybe because it was tired or run out of ideas because has performed with various costumes, ranging from fried eggs, carousel, Freddie Mercury to American football player, in his new single video clips Katy Perry chose something different-no clothes.

In the video clip song "California Gurls", Perry described living in a fantasy land full of candy. The scene was reminiscent of a fairy tale world of Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory work of Ronald Dahl.


Snoop Dogg, who took part in the song, the video clips that serve as "God" that controls the way Perry with a game board (bare board games like snakes ladder, Ludo, and checkers).

Perry said he was inspired to write the song after her friends became "wild" because listening to the song "Empire State of Mind" from Jay-Z at a party. "Everyone raised their hands high holding drinks and dancing, and I thought, 'We're not in New York, we were in Los Angeles!" he said. "What about California? What about all the local residents, gin, and juice, palm trees waving, body skin sunstroke?" he continued. "I decided that we need to respond. I want people to want to book a ticket to California so they first heard that song!"

Regarding the involvement Dogg, he added, "We thought it would sound cool and give another dimension to the song."

Directed the video clip is Mathew Cullen, who won Grammy awards thanks to a video clip song "Boom Boom Pow" by The Black Eyed Peas. He joined the team Motion Theory and gets inspiration from New York artist, Will Cotton, for the video clip.

The single "California Gurls" began circulating on June 20, 2010 and his new album, Teenage Dream, will be released on August 30 this year.
